Nick is a strategic, high-impact executive with deep operational experience in retail, e-commerce, technology, distribution and telecommunications. Throughout his career in public and private companies, Nick has raised over $400 million in debt and equity, participated in several successful M&A transactions, and led complex projects including ERP system implementations. Currently building an interim executive practice, Nick provides fractional CFO and advisory services to industry-leading enterprises.
As the former CFO of BCE’s subsidiary, The Source, Nick managed a broad portfolio covering financial reporting, IT, supply chain, and real estate. He was a key member of the deal team that sold the company to Circuit City at 11x EBITDA and later to BCE, eventually helping the business contribute over $1B in profit to Bell. His leadership enabled a $300M e-commerce strategy, the implementation of Oracle Retail, and an aggressive expansion that opened 70 stores in a single year.
Previously, Nick was recruited as CFO for The Brick Group, a $1.5B publicly traded retailer. During the 2008-2009 economic crisis, he designed and led a $250M recapitalization that averted bankruptcy and preserved 6,000 jobs. Beyond the refinancing, he drove profitability through rigorous margin optimization and held full P&L responsibility for the company’s $150M regulated insurance and warranty divisions. Nick is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) who combines big-picture strategy with hands-on operational execution.
